OOAK 21 Artist English Mohair Growler Bear Grenadier From Lesley & The Bears

  

This is Grenadier and he is one of my beautiful one of a kind bears that I have designed and lovingly hand crafted from a time when bears were our very best friends. Grenadier is a delightful bear who looks as though he belongs in an Edwardian toy shop. He is 21 inches high from his paws to his ears and sits at 14 inches.

Grenadier really is a very special and endearing little bear who is reminiscent of much loved bears from a time long since forgotten. I have given Grenadier original wooden black Victorian boot button. Eyes which is in keeping with traditional bears.

He has a traditional centre seam head and his nose I have carefully needle felted in finest black merino wools tips finishing with subtle hand shading to his muzzle. I have designed created and hand crafted Grenadier from my finest old gold distressed English mohair which has tiny black guard hairs running throughout giving a wonderful texture and depth to his fur. Has a traditional hump a plump little tummy and a tension growler. He has long hockey stick style arms of which I have nicely weighted enabling him to hug you when he is picked up. His paws and pads I have created from my vintage white gold English cotton velvet. He is traditionally five way jointed with very substantial nut & bolt joints to his legs. He is nicely stuffed and heavily weighted with traditional steel shot bringing to life the very essence of a much loved bear from a place in time long since forgotten. Grenadier is one of only one of his kind and he as do all of my bears. Have my sewn in cloth tag of authenticity. He comes home to you complete with his certificate of. Everything from designing Grenadier to hand crafting him has taken many hours and he is in keeping with very traditional hugs from a time long since passed.
