Painted and sculpted very detailed face and hands. Red human (I think) hair. Cloth body, arms, feet and legs. The arms and legs have a wire in them so they hold a pose. Clothes - Period clothes with velvet pants, a felt 3 point hat and leather shoes. Clothes are handmade and original to the doll. Condition - Excellent - No cracks or chips.
Very nice face paint and no damage. Mark - His clothes are sewn on so I can't see if there is a mark at the base of his shoulderplate. Please see the photos, they are part of the description. This doll is an original made by NIADA artist Faith Wick. According to the NIADA website, only work made by members of NIADA during their membership is considered a NIADA doll.
Inventory card for this doll reads - Thomas Jefferson by Faith Wick, 1976. There is a NiADA card with this doll. Signed by the doll artist.
See last picture for the card. It is my understanding that NiADA registered dolls are one of a kind original works.
