Expertly rendered this adorably, sweet Halopeau mold measures about 16 ½ tall. Her bisque head is perfect, pale bisque with rosy cheeks, an open/close mouth, feathered brows, purple eyeshadow and bulging blue paperweight glass eyes with lots of tiny painted lashes. Her look is an excellent representation of the antique French doll. Bisque head is on an articulating composition body with straight wrists and the all of her is in excellent condition without any issue.
She is wearing a fabulous French style antique dress suit with matching bonnet. The French bleu velvet jacket with tulle trim and tiny MOP buttons in the front with a cream silk pleated skirt with lace trim and a sewn in eyelet half-slip. The same high quality fabrics were used in the wired bonnet.
Under it she has on another vintage stiff half-slip and white pantaloons. French style black shoes with knitted socks (the socks are not a matching pair, but they work ok).
The weft mohair crimped style wig with bangs is very soft in a nice, very light strawberry color that is over an antique flat cork pate. She is a one of a kind artist doll, not massed produced, the artist initials are inked on the back of her head with the date 1988 and 3 H for the size and mold. She displays beautifully and would make a wonderful addition to any doll collection, especially for someone who loves antique French dolls.
