Artisan Miniature Dollhouse Doll Original Marcia Backstrom Sculpt Regency Lady. Allow me to introduce you to The Duchess. A woman whose presence commands attention in any drawing room. Her brilliantly styled silvering hair features cascading curls to frame her face, accented by a feathered and flowered hairpiece that whispers of aristocratic pursuits. Age has only refined her beauty.

Her face retains a youthful vibrancy, the lines etched around her eyes hinting at a lifetime of laughter. A generous bosom adds a touch of womanly charm to her silhouette, drawing the eye to the exquisite gown she wears. The cream-colored gown is a masterpiece in itself. With a cinched waist that emphasizes her hourglass figure, it dips to a low neckline. Puffed sleeves, adding a touch of romantic drama.

A delicate lace overlay drapes over the bodice, accented with hand-beading and tiny, perfectly formed roses. Long white gloves, a single strand of pearls on her neck, and a matching piece on her wrist.

In her hand, she carries a decorative fan, a finishing touch to her impeccably crafted persona. The Duchess is the perfect socialite, and would made a captivating addition to any Bridgerton-inspired scene. She was made from an original clay sculpt by the late Marcia Backstrom. She was dressed, painted and wigged by the very talented Dana Burton and her finishing touches by Madam Magpie.

We love making character dolls and she is just an example of the many we will continue to make in the coming years. Marcia left behind a collection of her original sculpts and it is our endeavor to bring them all to life over the coming years. With the aid of talented doll artisans and our in-house talent, we are honored to take the helm. This miniature came from a wonderful miniature collection, Mine. 1:12 scale, 5 1/2 tall.

Do you have a miniature collection that you'd like to sell? Please contact me for further information. I sell Vintage and Antique items, typically they come with dust, scratches, bumps, bruises and the like (aka, they are not perfect but always still fabulous).

If I have missed something important or have made an error in a listing, please contact me as the more information the better. I do my best to pack everything as if it were my own, but if during the postal ride it is broken or it is not as described, please contact me so we can figure out what to do to make us'both' happy. I treat customers the way I would like to be treated, please to the same in return.
