Offering a stunningly beautiful, hand painted and carved, wood doll from German artist Helga Weich. This is a one of a kind doll as she only made this single one. Perhaps it was a prototype.

Numbered on back of neck: 99/01/01. This blond, curly haired beauty measures 20 in height. Her head arms and legs are hand carved wood and jointed, Her body is stuffed.

Her clothing is top of the line and includes a black straw hat with flowers, lace stockings, pantalettes, embroidered petticoat, a heavy red dress with large silver buttons, a floral apron, black shoes and hand embroidered knit sweater. The pantalettes are also embroidered with the artist's name. A very well appointed doll with extravagant attention to detail, the reason why Helga Weich dolls are considered to be works of art. There are two slight areas of fade on the red dress, one at her collar and another one at her hem.

I have pointed them out on the photos. Otherwise, she is in excellent undamaged condition. This doll comes with a white metal stand.
