This listing is for ONE full costumed porcelain ooak bjd, ball jointed fine art dolls, Kira from Dark Crystal movie, made by Amado Gravagno. Materials: 1260 C degrees porcelain, acrylic paint, satin lacquer, elastic cords, natural leather, iron hooks and axis. Includes: handmade stand, Coa, detachable magnetic ooak wig. Kira's costume (gauze cape, dress, wings, purse, stockings, crystal). As all our dolls I dedicate to them many hours of intense hand work to create original and totally unique objects d'art. This is the third costumed version of these characters I make. You can ask for more pictures of these dolls or to look at their pictures album at my FBbio. These are original artist dolls, the molds was made by us, from our original dolls sculpts. No 3D technology of any kind were used to make this dolls, they are completely made by hand. Custom policies of each country can alter this estimated timeframe. Jen and Kira dolls story. This is a personal version of these beloved characters, Jen and Kira from the original Dark Crystal movie, inspired on the characters created by puppeteer Jim Henson and concept artist Brian Froud. For to create these dolls I sculpted two new bodytypes and head molds, the boy mold is called Alvar, and the girl's mold name is Eglantina. The original characters are, of course, puppets, so I took the general childish proportions of them as reference an the rest has to be reimagined to convert them into ball jointed dolls, taking more than one artistic license in the process since the intention is not to obtain exact replicas of the original characters but a totally personal recreation of them. I always wanted to create a doll inspired in Froud faerie characters and this was the perfect oportunity. I'm very happy of how these characters were becoming and once they were fired (the origianl master pieces were made also in porcelain) we took molds from them. The resultant final copies in porcelain are smaller than the originals.

The heads are each one a variation of an old mold that we never released before; we called it "Shaman". The final dolls have double joints as our normal female human dolls, 18 joints in total.

Jen is 21,5 cms. Tall and Kira is 19 cms. Tall They are painted with acrylics and satin lacquer. The costumes are made with handpainted fabrics, embroidered by hand and machine. All the cords with beads are handmade too.

The fake crystal is made with silicon and painted with very washed acrylics and then varnished. The boots are made in fabric with embroidered embellishment.

The belt is natural leather, with an epoxy clay embellishment and a leather pocket for the crystal. The flute of Jen is made in epoxy too. The wings of Kira are detachable, they fit into the back cut of the dress, they are made with gauze and flexible wire under the zigzag stich.
