Michael D. Mode OOAK Turned Wooden Vessel WithLid Signed By Artist

  

This beautiful turned wooden vessel with lid was created by the talented well known artist Michael D. It is a one of a kind piece of handcrafted art that will be cherished for a lifetime! Inspired by the memory of Arab craftsmen using an ancient style of bow lathe wood turning, this vessel has beautiful and ornate natural swirls and fine lines throughout the wood, reminiscent of an old map.

One of the unique features of this piece is a darkened knot on one side of the vessel, and another is that when it is viewed from the inside, it is just as beautiful and interesting as the outside! Measuring approximately 5 1/2" tall with lid and 5 1/4" wide, the bottom is signed Michael Mode -'92-24. Well cared for, the vessel is in excellent preowned condition with no damage or restorations. Mode, was born in Pennsylvania and now lives in Vermont. His beautiful works are displayed in art museums across the United States.
